Barley, mint, tomato salad.. DELISH!

Had an amazing salad at a baby shower the other night & made it again tonight.  We loved it!  Here's one I found online that is similar.  I think the amount of barley could be minimized and tons more veggies could be thrown in too.  Making again and adding tons of cucumber.

Day 1 has begun

I'm finally here creating my weight loss blog!  I have been planning to do this for a while, but life is crazy, so it has been put off til today.  I currently am 28 years old, have an amazing husband, and a gorgeous 6 month old baby girl.  I have been dieting off and on for the past 6 months not sticking to anything for a long time.  I feel like a weight loss blog will help keep me on my toes knowing others are out there watching my progress.

Here is my goal:

-Lose 40 pounds over the next 6 months

How am I going to do this?

-Exercising daily on my spin bike

-Do strength training DVDs 3 times a week

-Count 1500 calories a day (I get a little extra do to breastfeeding my baby)

-Drink crazy amounts of water to keep me feeling full while limiting my calorie intake

-Tell everyone I eat with I am dieting and ask for their support!  (hence inviting you all to my new blog)

Stay tuned for a dreaded "Before Picture"  Had to delete the one I took, it was too awful.  Talk about motivation!  Taking the picture alone motivated me a ton!
